This Town is the Monaco of the United States! ⛵🌊 - Avalon, California.
Today: Helicopter rides, Parasailing, and much, much more!
Today’s location may be the most beautiful in the U.S.! Take a look! ⬇️
Over the years, ownership of Catalina Island has changed hands many times, and it’s obvious why the island was in such high demand. Off the coast of California, Catalina Island ended up in the hands of the United States, and we are lucky to have it.
Stepping off the ferry, you’ll be greeted by a gentle sea breeze and the warmth of the California sun. As you approach Avalon Bay, you're struck by the vibrant Mediterranean-style buildings and the bay with clear blue waters and a crescent shape. The iconic Catalina Casino stands proudly at the harbor's entrance.
Walking along Crescent Avenue, Avalon’s main street, you'll see sidewalk cafes and restaurants inviting you in for some fresh seafood or some coffee. Look outside and see everyone enjoying the bay.
Pass through the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden, one of the most beautiful places on the island and worth the short drive from Avalon.
Realistically, the entire island is worth seeing, but you can’t see it all in one day, well, unless you get a helicopter tour, that is. One of the best ways to see the island, Maverick Helicopter Tours can give you a birds-eye view of one of the most uniquely beautiful landscapes in the United States!
